Tax credit enticed 350,000 first-time homebuyers, says study

A new national study estimates that more than 350,000 recent first-time homebuyers have been enticed by the $8,000 federal tax credit this year.
The Campbell Communications survey was done by calculating the number of first-time homebuyers before and after the tax credit was instituted.
The study was done to support legislative efforts to extend the federal house credit, and possibly even expand it to include all homebuyers.
