Arizona's housing "heroes" named at annual conference

Six of Arizona’s “housing heroes” were honored at the state’s housing conference on Tuesday. Here are this year’s winners of the Brian Mickelsen awards for helping the state’s residents quality of life with better housing:
Elected official: Gov. Jan Brewer was chosen for helping the Housing Department keep resources from its Housing Trust Fund during difficult budget negotiations.
Innovative Partnerships: Barbara Blythe of the Mohave County and Community Economic Development Department was honored for her efforts in engaging groups in the country’s rehabilitation program that helps seniors, disable families and families with children.
Tribal initiatives: The Hopi Tribal Housing Authority was picked …
